On Friday we used M&M's to further investigate density. We dropped four into a bowl of water and explored the different properties of what makes up an M&M and how dense each of the components are. We noticed the following changes:
- That the colours were slowly fading and the water was slowly taking the colour out of the M&M's. It was then mixing together.
- The colours spread out towards the other colours.
- That when you dropped the M&M's the colours came off them.
- The water faded the chocolates colours. The M&M's sunk with the colour. Some of the chocolates floated.
