Asteroids

  Made of…
  • Carbon.
  • 20% Nickel, Iridium, Palladium, Platinum, Gold and other precious Metals.
  • 80% Iron.

Where are they found…
  • Asteroids are mostly found in the Asteroid belt, orbiting the sun. The Asteroid  belt is in the middle of Jupiter and Mars!!

Why are they located where they are…
  • The reason for that is because of Jupiter's strong gravity. It pulls the asteroids in.

FACTS
Asteroids aren’t the only things that hit Earth. Each day, more than 100 tons of material from Asteroids and comets falls toward Earth. Most of it is destroyed by friction as it passes through our Atmosphere. If something DOES hit the ground, it is known as a Meteorite.

It’s your decision!

I’ve been all over the world and have seen loads of different flags. The flags are all different in ways. NZ could change the flag to one of the options. But why? Why should we change the flag?

I’m a child but my decision is: let it stay the same.

  • We have been fighting in wars with it.
  • It can be changed but it will not change NZ.
  • It costs a lot of money that can be spent for other things.
  • It’s a distraction for people.
  • It might be nearly the same as the Australian flag but we belong to England, so the flag needs to be the same in different ways.
  • NZ has had this flag for more than 100 years and it represents most of us.
  • People and my old teacher in Switzerland know were New Zealand is.

If we change the flag, New Zealand might be nothing.

The night sky

On the dark ridged bark I crouch. Accompanied by a friend I set my eyes on the galaxy, glowing through the depth of the night sky.

Stars as far as the eye can see all in one cluster puddle.

The glistening bundles of gases look down at me enjoying my company.

Can we live on some Galaxy where we can shot and glide through the stars or will we wait for the time where we will know your deepest secrets? I don't know but for now I have to go,see you again;sometime.

Star Story

Enclosed in darkness I stand and gaze at the stars. The dry grass tickles at my bare feet far across the glistening lake I spy the lights of a town the I turn my attention to the light littered sky.

The sky is so black but packed with stars. Everything is silent except the waves lapping onto the shore.

Life is a star journey - will we ever learn every fact about space?

Aliens Argument

I think aliens are real
Here are some reasons why I think this:

1. What are aliens if they don't exist?

2. Space is huge,  there has to be life in our galaxy

3. There are so many videos about them. Though I do admit are fake but if you really watch closely some are not fake!

5. Why are we searching for aliens? I know! So we can answer our questions!

* in 1991 people claim that a UFO landed in France.

* aliens have contacted humans. We know this because there are interviews with astronauts and other people saying they have had contact with aliens.
